You stay in the large gothic-style lodge, which is now the Estate’s 4-Star Hotel.
Breakfast and dinner included, lunch options available on site.
The Happy Hacker program offers 2 hours trail rides on the estate and flat lessons. Riders need to be canter level in English tack. For the intermediate rider booking the cross-country program the emphasis is on improving and solidifying your basics while also progressively jumping more challenging fences and combinations towards the end of your stay.
The more experienced rider can ride younger, more challenging horses on the Castle Leslie Estate over the extensive cross-country courses. Qualified instructors up to BHSI lead the cross-country rides and also teach all levels, and will see that everyone makes the most of their holiday.
Riders need to be comfortable in English tack at walk, posting trot and two-point canter. Minimum age is 7 years old with an adult.
While riders are on horseback, there are no separate activities planned for non-riders, who can enjoy the accommodations and region independently. Options include:
The Victorian Spa at the hunting lodge: This is Ireland’s first truly organic Victorian Spa where you can spend the whole day indulging in a comprehensive range of treatments and therapies. It’s also the perfect place to ease your weary muscles after a day spent riding. You can book any treatment directly at the spa, which is located in the hunting lodge - this is at your own expense.
