Horses resting during Lake Natron horse safari in tanzania

Lake Natron Safari

Ride Overview

In an area little touched by the hand of man, on this horse safari in Tanzania you ride beneath Ol Doinyo Lengai, the only active volcano in East Africa. Great plains full of zebra, wildebeest, giraffe and Grant’s gazelle provide excellent footing for spectacular fast canters. The lake is approached along a sandy riverbed, where the Masai can be seen bringing their herds to water. The inhospitable lake shore, ringed by flamingos, holds game that is adapted to the desert environment and provides the ultimate adventurous equestrian experience. Read a day-to-day journal from a guest here.

After your ride we recommend you add an extension to the Serengeti or Zanzibar to complete the experience.
