Accommodation is in a mix of lodgings including a country house hotel in Puerto Natales and three nights sleeping outside in tents while in the Park. The campsites have been chosen in the best locations and to reach the best riding away from the main hiking trails (all sites have hot showers and bathrooms). All gear is provided when camping (mountain tents, sleeping pads, sleeping bags & liners) and a dedicated BlueGreen chef will be preparing your meals. *For those who would prefer not to camp, it is possible to upgrade to the Pampa Lodge at an extra cost.
Luggage is moved by vehicle or 4×4 and you are provided with saddle bags to carry water, suncream, lunch box
On arrival during late afternoon at the campsites, wine and canapes are served giving riders ample time to relax while the evening meal is prepared. A dining tent for eating and cooking provides shelter during meal times or riders can opt to dine beside the campfire. There is a varied dinner menu of fish, chicken, pasta, steak and lamb (which is a local staple), served with fresh salads and vegetables, accompanied by Chilean wine. Fruit and cheese are served for dessert.
Participants must be confident at a walk, trot and canter and gallop; be prepared to ride using local Chilean tack; be fit enough to ride fairly long distances at a number of different paces for a minimum of 5-6 hours per day (13-25 miles), some days will have 8+ hours saddle time; feel confident riding across rivers, through forests, and crossing mountain paths (not very steep or at high altitude) and be prepared, both mentally and physically, for riding in unpredictable and sometimes challenging weather conditions.
