Florida

Florida has long been a winter haven for equestrian enthusiasts. Wellington is home to the Winter Equestrian Festival, which draws over 250,000 visitors yearly. The festival runs from January through March, and is the largest and longest running horse show featuring the best riders in their class, with both show jumping and dressage competitions. It is hosted by the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center, which has 500 acres and 18 competition areas. A highlight of the festival is the Saturday Night Lights Grand Prix, featuring the most celebrated jumpers in front of 10,000 fans, with entertainment, food and vendors.

Running concurrently is the Palm Beach International Polo Season at the nearby Polo Club Palm Beach. Here you can watch the world’s top riders and ponies compete in some of the most prestigious tournaments.

In addition to these equestrian spectating opportunities the area offers bountiful shops, galleries, restaurants and a quick drive to the relaxing beaches of the eastern coastline.
